Matthew and Ashley Blanton are mission partners of this church, and they have been serving faithfully in Guatemala for about 3 years. Now, they are Stateside with a new blessing to share: a beautiful baby! Last month, the Southside Church family put together a baby shower to welcome this new addition.
The Blantons sent the Church this thank-you message:
“When you volunteered to throw us a shower, we were moved, but didn’t expect something so thoughtful and amazing! We had such a fun time celebrating with our Southside family—all three of us felt so loved. We love the theme, decorations, and globe—it was very ‘us.’ We wanted to thank each and every one of you, and in some cases your spouses, for pitching in to give us a really memorable shower. People were also very generous, and we received everything we needed! As if throwing a shower wasn’t enough, you also bought us our diaper bag! Thank you all so much for time, work, and money that you invested in us. We are grateful!”
We are so grateful to count these wonderful folks as part of our family in Christ!
