Rev. Schuyler Peterson
Senior Pastor
Dr. Schuyler Peterson was called to be the Senior Pastor of Southside in 2011. Schuyler graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Design Architecture and then received a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His Doctor of Ministry with a focus on Christian Leadership and Church Growth came from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. His desire is to connect God’s unchanging truth with a diverse culture through creative and relevant teaching. Always centered on a key passage of Scripture, he helps people relate to God through His Word. Schuyler is a husband and a father of three daughters.

Rev. Cameron Wilson
Minister of Children
Cameron was called to be the Children's Minister in October of 2013. Cameron graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and earned a Master’s in Christian Ministries from North Greenville University. He has a passion for teaching kids about Jesus and God's love for them. He believes parents should be the primary spiritual leaders for their kids, and is anxious to come alongside them, teach and love their kids, and support them however he can through the Children's Ministry. Cameron's wife, Jamie, is a huge part of his ministry. They live in Spartanburg and have two sons and one daughter.

Chris Bobo
Minister of Youth
Chris Bobo began serving as our Youth Minister on Sunday, August 18th, 2019. Southside has been Chris’ church since the day he was born. Chris graduated Dorman High School in 2008 and Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2012. He is the founder and owner of Cross Anchor Web Design. He was baptized and married at Southside, where he is also an ordained deacon. Having worked with our youth and college students for many years as a layman, he has preexisting relationships with most of the families that he is now serving in a staff role. His wife Alyssa is also very involved in the ministry, as she has been for many years. Their son Jay is along for the ride.

Sara Eilders
Church Administrator
Sara Eilders is our Church Administrator. Sara graduated from Dorman High School and then earned an Associate Degree in Computer Technology specializing in Information Management and Software Development from Spartanburg Community College. Sara previously has served on Spartanburg County’s Disabilities and Special Needs Board. She also has served as an assistant swim coach for South Carolina’s Area 12 Special Olympics. Sara and her husband, Bootie, currently own Seam Transport, LLC. Together they have three children and a boxer named Augustus.

Sonya Cannon
Administrative Assistant
Sonya Cannon is our Pastor’s Secretary and Administrative Assistant. Sonya graduated from Dorman High School in 1985 and attended the University of South Carolina Upstate. Sonya is a pastor’s wife and is married to Scott Cannon who pastors Jonesville Baptist Church. They are the parents of 3 precious daughters. Sonya loves people, but most of all loves her Savior!!
