Connie Maxwell Children's Home is one of the nonprofits in South Carolina that we support through our Global Missions Offering (GMO) and other partnership opportunities throughout the year. Connie Maxwell is a faith-based family outreach program that provides group homes for children and families, as well as counseling, foster care programming, and related services.
This year, we provided donations to support the Hamilton Cottage for boys, aged 15 to 18. They gave us a list of Christmas wishes, and Southside church members from the Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Joy Class, and Adult Sunday School Classes 5, 6, 7, and 9 came together to make them happen! It was a joy for our team to deliver these gifts to go under the tree at Hamilton Cottage.
Christmas is a traditional time for family celebrations, and that can make it difficult for people who are separated from their families during the holiday. It's an especially important time for us to remember that we're part of a larger family: that of God our Father, manifested in the Body of Christ. Thank you to everyone who shared that gift with the children at Connie Maxwell this year by loving on them like family!
