Every summer, children from the Spartanbug community can spend a week at Southside playing games, eating free food, and learning the Gospel message through Vacation Bible School (VBS). This year, we had an amazing time exploring the set of Athens, learning from the Apostle Paul's journey! We want to thank all the volunteers who helped make this week possible by giving of their time, bringing supplies from home, and working so hard to create a fun and Christ-centered experience for kids in our community.
VBS is also a way that we teach kids about the value of missions, explaining why we need to use our blessings to bless others—at home and around the world! This year, our kids and adults raised $225 to support Zambian moms and babies through World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization. We want to give a special thanks in particular to the Chaneyworth family for their help raising these funds. We are so proud of those who take missions to heart!
To learn more about VBS and other programs offered through the Children's Ministry at Southside, please call our church office at (864) 582-2341 and ask to speak to Rev. Cameron Wilson. For more information about World Vision and how you can support their work, please visit their website.
